These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the SIRIS APPS Trust website, our courses, events, donation platform and volunteer programme. By using the site or enrolling with us, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
SIRIS APPS Trust is a registered charitable trust established in New Zealand. Our registered address and Charities Services number are available on request via hello@sirisapps.org.nz.
2. Enrolment & course participation
- Enrolment is confirmed by email once we receive your details and (where applicable) payment.
- Free and subsidised places are allocated based on published eligibility criteria.
- We may reasonably withdraw a learner whose behaviour compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.
- Attendance is required for micro-credential awards; requirements are provided at enrolment.
3. Donations & refunds
Donations are processed securely via Stripe. Donations are gifts and are generally non-refundable, but we will refund transactions made in error if you contact us within 30 days. Monthly donations may be cancelled at any time from your receipt email or by contacting us. Donations over NZ$5 are eligible for a tax receipt.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site or programmes to harass, discriminate against, or endanger any learner, volunteer, or trustee; to publish or share course materials without permission; or to attempt to breach the security of our systems.
5. Intellectual property
Course materials, curricula and this website are the property of SIRIS APPS Trust or licensed to us. You may use them for personal learning; you may not resell or redistribute them without written permission. Te reo Māori content and Pasifika-language content are shared under agreements with the communities from which they come.
6. Third-party links
We link to government and community resources for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the site or programmes is limited to the fees you paid to us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or programmes after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
